GREETINGS! along with a big 'thank-you' for visiting us. My name is Charlie, owner and photographer of Tyme Photography, a home based operation with a studio and reception area in North Liberty, IA. The Boston area was home during the early years and with camera in hand I started freelancing photographing weddings and other on location work in the mid 70's for a number of studios. Assignments ranged from simple home receptions to elaborate hotel affairs. I loved the work, especially weddings, and soon became known as a wedding specialist.

In 1994 I came to Iowa (not expecting to stay) but found the Iowa City area much like I was used to. In 1999 I met Priscilla. She encouraged me to build an addition onto the house (just when I thought I was ready to relax a bit) and it was to be called Tyme Photography Studio. Well, neither one of us has looked back. Priscilla also assists at most weddings and has learned to be behind a camera, adding her own unique style to each assignment. OUR LOCATION

Tyme photography is located four miles north of Iowa City. Easily accessible from I-380 to exit 4, OR I-80 to exit 240 then north 4 miles on Hwy 965, just west of Hills Bank.

WHAT WE ARE ABOUT

Our home based studio is handicap accessible with a large reception room attached. We cater to our client's busy schedules. We're available by appointment and phone inquiries at anytime. One job or appointment is scheduled at a time, devoting all our attention to your needs. Photography experiences spans over 25 years with Weddings topping the list followed by many types of portraits and events. Personal consultation chats are always free and preferred before reserving dates.

ABOUT QUALITY

All our work is processed at a professional color lab used only by professional photographers and serious part-timers. I've used them for years because the quality is first class and they mirror my own values on the importance for the way business is done.

Not all photographers photograph them but we love them - each one is unique in their own special way. HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS

Our most popular sessions are split between the studio and Lake McBride in Solon or Kent State Park where numerous possibilities are available. We are equipped with a portable dressing room for quick outside clothing changes. Parents are welcome to watch as their senior is photographed.

PORTRAITS

BUSINESS-KIDS-FAMILIES-COUPLES are offered in our studio. In home is more personal or you may choose another location. We also cater to individual business portraits plus a group photo of your employees at your business. You are able to view images as they are photographed. Most clients order from our viewing system saving travel time. Pets are also welcome to be photographed in the studio with the family - they are people too.

PETS

Just like kids! Inquisitive little things. We don't mind if they run around the reception room and studio nosing it all out. From cats, reptiles, and birds - we do 'em all. Horses? In their own environment.

EVENTS

....are a growing part of Tyme Photography. Pet shows, dances, proms, fundraisers, etc. keeps us clicking on. Unlike studio work, event package pricing is used. Call for further event information.

RESTORATION & RETOUCHING

....was very tedious in the past but has been made readily available with digital technology. From opening eyes to swapping heads and adding backgrounds is possible, plus much more. (If you can imagine it we probably can do it.) Don't miss this section.
